If you had used the macros gimp provides for initializing I18N, you
wouldn't have had this problem. Your code should look like this:
gtk_set_locale();
setlocale (LC_NUMERIC, "C");
Actually I would suggest you copy code from libgimp/gimpintl.h and
adapt it your needs.
