There is also a script to place text along a path. <Image> /Script-Fu/Render/Text along path ... but even its creator acknowledges its weaknesses. It tries to place each character separately, rotated to follow the tangent to the path at that point (well, actually rotated to the normal to the tangent, but you get the idea). The script needs to be tweaked to use SF-FONT instead of a font file name to make it work more easily on Linux systems. -- --Jeff
