If you did you follow the steps in the INSTALL or README files about rebuilding the PPD files for CUPS.
Then you probably need to log on to the CUPS Page with your browser(http://localhost:631/admin) and create the printer. You will need to be the cups admin. You can use the lppasswd command to setup a admin ID if your root.
