Upgrading to 2.3. is a rather bad idea since this is an unstable
development snapshot. You better keep 2.2 around for real work.

a layer and using the magic wand selector, I could isolate my

to only content in that layer with regards to "empty" space around it.
But now, it seems to pass through to the lowest visible layer which

it impossible to do some editing on the current chosen layer. Is this

Toggle off "Sample merged" in the tool options.
