Unfortunately, the question as it stands has no real chance to be
answered because you have provided precisely zero information about
your setup which drastically lowers your chances to get a sensible
answer.  How asking a technical question is supposed to be done
right is pretty well explained in the classic HOWTO [1].

Hence please re-try providing full info on your environment (OS and
its version, flavor of Git and its version, URL you use for fetching
etc) *and* be prepared for things like being asked to run a network
capturing software to see what really happens on the wire.

Also note that this list is for helping newbie users with using Git;
if you think your problem looks like a bug, consider posting to the main
Git list (for developers) which is git at vger.kernel.org -- see [2]
for more info.  And be sure you don't post HTML there as it will be
rejected.
