I had a syntax error in my .gitignore file what has been fixed. I was able
to clean up all but a few of the files that should have been ignored.
However, I now have something I don't understand and can't seem to fix.
When I look at my git commit file I can see a list of "deleted" files that
are in my .gitignore file. However, when I do a "git ls-files --deleted"
nothing shows up. If I do a "git diff" they do not show up there either. If
I try to do a "git rm" I get a file not found error. What is happening and
what will happen to these files in the repository if I do a push?
