[sorry for top post] I'm assuming your happy to do a little dabbling so, .. You may want to also progress to the Msysgit list https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en_US?hl%3Den#!topic/msysgit/DY0bhsltkn0 [or http://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.version-control.msysgit] e.g. the latest "TLS 1.2 support" thread,
We are currently switching to MSys2 which already updated to OpenSSL 1.0.2. If you want to have a sneak peek, feel free to download and run the Git SDK installer (which installs MSys2 core, all MSys2 packages required to build Git, and then builds Git and installs it into the MSys2 fakeroot): https://git-for-windows.github.io/#download-sdk or the SDK list (notifications) via the new Msys2 development which is at https://github.com/git-for-windows/git (look at the issues, pull requests, and the https://gitter.im/git-for-windows/git discussions) every little helps. I can't use the binary because it uses libneon which is linked to an old version of OpenSSL. I need to compile it against the latest version and then use the libneon to build git. You don't say what you mean by "required to" (compelled?). There is also some work on a new Mys2 sdk that is well advanced https://github.com/git-for-windows/git/pulls 9 see the various discussions on the recent issues), as well as some work on the older Msys(1) with both building from source using gcc compiler. Can't use the installer unfortunately. I don't seem to find the visual studio files (sln and vcproj) for this build. Any idea where i can find them? Anybody has a sample install script that I can refer to? Thanks -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Git for human beings" group.
