Review comment:
       The second approach sounds reasonable to me -- just to clarify: is 
IndexOutOfBoundsException thrown from computeValueUseCache call ? rowVal should 
be calculated  at the beginning of each loop -- for example before ```if 
(isDistanceGreater)``` -- this could avoid the exception
