Regarding the mentioned `.BUILDINFO` file: still no idea why you don't see this file @kugel- but it is in http://www2.futureware.at/~nickoe/msys2-mirror/i686/mingw-w64-i686-glib2-2.46.2-3-any.pkg.tar.xz alongside with `.PKGINFO`, `.INSTALL` and so on.
