@eht16 according to [this](https://developer.gnome.org/glib/stable/glib-building.html), you can build GLib with `--with-pcre=system` and use the same PCRE for GLib and Grep. Not sure it's worth the hassle, but it would avoid having two different copies of PCRE library in Geany distribution.
