I wish Geany was written in Julia; I want to learn it , and that way I could 
contribute to Geany with code (I don't like C/C++).  

How realistic would be a text editor like Geany written in Julia? Did you ever 
think about such a thing?
Or  does it make little sense, as so much of Geany relies on pre-written C(++) 
libraries (scintilla,.others?..) , that most of the Julia code would be just 
interfacing with C(++)?
