If you can write platform-specific code, maybe it is possible to hack this to work. I have done it to FreeCAD (Qt4), see https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/blob/47536dcd3729d3db106af628d62f2bf449e68c49/src/Gui/WinNativeGestureRecognizers.cpp#L236 and Qt5 natively supports the needed gestures. But there, the situation was quite different, as I needed to get two-finger gestures to work (and one-finger one was simply done by reprogramming mouse - lucky that FreeCAD had almost no business with click-drag-release actions)
