You can add `*.txt;` to the list of filetype extensions for the filetype "Markdown", "AsciiDoc" or "restructuredText" whichever you prefer more. All of these are pretty much text files and should fit well enough. To do so, use the menu item "Tools->Configuration Files->filetype_extensions.conf". @b4n @techee do you remember any reason that we listed `*.txt` nowhere?
