b4n left a comment (geany/geany#4472) …OK, quick try shows the build itself takes 2:49 with meson versus 6:14 with Autotools on Windows. That would be 3:25 faster -- assuming the result is sufficiently the same -- which would be more or less 7-8 minutes versus 10-11 minutes. Not lightning fast, buts still quite significant.
However, the NSIS fails, so I can assume the current Meson result is not sufficiently identical to the Autotools one to be a drop-in replacement for the moment.
