WrapEarnPass left a comment (geany/geany-plugins#1592) After reviewing Zotero, that appears to be an orthogonal use of a IDE. Geany's stated [purpose](https://www.geany.org/) is "Geany is a powerful, stable and lightweight programmer's text editor" I have been developing code in one way or another for 3 decades, and have never required the function of "reference management software to manage bibliographic data and related research materials". Such a drastic departure from the Geany core functionality would possibly require a change of geany itself to support this. I doubt a plugin could manage to get geany to a state where it could support zotero.
