   Why are we interested in compute on chunked arrays in the first place?  For 
example, for rank, couldn't we use an exec plan with an aggregate node?
   
   My understanding is that we have:
   
   Single batch -> function registry
   Stream of batches -> Execution plans
   
   I worry that maintaining a chunked array path for all the aggregate kernels 
may be tedious without much value.
