> Can you please point me to some existing MR or issue for this, I will cross check the behaviours. turns out i was wrong, while `.` is generally permitted in bucket names, the [docs](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonS3/latest/userguide/bucketnamingrules.html) state they are not permitted for virtual-style hosted buckets.
