@alamb Thanks, this should be good to go now. I want to point out that the latest benchmarks (https://github.com/apache/arrow/pull/9454#discussion_r579719800) suggest that the compiler's auto-vectorized code might be ~2-5% faster than our own SIMD implementation of this particular method.
