Hi Jacob, That sounds great! It would be great to get some support from a PMC. Is there a known process for requesting this support? I should definitely be able to find some contributors 🙂. I think I can manage it. I am hoping to be able to reach the members that created and setup the rust arrow repo to see if they can share the process they used. Hopefully with a dedicated repo there will also be more Swift developers that will use and participate in this ecosystem. The arrow-julia community is also relatively small and has a separate repo, they might also have some advice. I think it would be good if you can get some support from a PMC or two (as Kou did for julia) with regards to the releases etc.. For merging PRs it would be the same as within the monorepo but hopefully you are right and some additional contributors could be attracted. Maybe you already know someone that is interested? It is possible to use swift form the current repo but SPM (Swift Package Manager) pulls down the entire arrow repo Ok thanks for clarifying! So that's more an inconvenience than a real obstacle to use it. — Reply to this email directly, view it on GitHub<https://github.com/apache/arrow/issues/38872#issuecomment-2136142528>, or unsubscribe<https://github.com/notifications/unsubscribe-auth/ADUPFGWPM6RZA3V5FH4ZYRLZETZOJAVCNFSM6AAAAAA7YZXSWOVHI2DSMVQWIX3LMV43OSLTON2WKQ3PNVWWK3TUHMZDCMZWGE2DENJSHA>.
