Thanks for the clarification, @assignUser. My apologies for the misunderstanding! It was unclear to me what the best practice was for this particular case because it seemed rather niche: 1. A PR was made without an issue 2. A GitHub issue was made retroactively for the PR 3. The fact that the PR constituted a MINOR PR was only realized *after* a GitHub issue had been retroactively made I thought about suggesting that we update [the docs](https://github.com/apache/arrow/blob/main/CONTRIBUTING.md#minor-fixes) to clarify best practices for this scenario, but, perhaps, it is a bit too specific to include. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
