I suggest we start a new PR with the proposal (e.g. the contents of
https://github.com/apache/arrow-rs/pull/6921 and your fixes).
It seems like it is quite close now -- so we should start preparing a PR to
merge.
Also, I will unfortunately be offline until next weekend starting in a few
hours so I will likely not be able to respond until then
Maybe @XiangpengHao @Dandandan can help review the changes in the mean time
and again thank you for all your work on this issue
