This is by design, based on the understanding that `date64` type is intended to represent date values. I expect timestamp values which incorporate both a date and a time to be represented as a `timestamp` instead of a `date`. Is there a system you're interoperating with that expects a `date64` to represent both dates and times? -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
