I've been asking around about Sphinx and Breathe compatibility during the EuroPython sprints—fortunately, there were also Sphinx sprints happening. From what I gathered, Breathe is currently maintained, though not under active development. That said, we can continue using it for now, as there don't seem to be many viable alternatives at the moment (AFAIK). I plan to submit a PR to remove the Sphinx version pin—just need to build things locally first and check for any potential issues. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
