@alamb Thanks the review! See 0e28fba0ed81492f0535d9a7a1baa0c22140a6b5, which now preserves internal state across pages. This latest change also adds `consume` to the set of dead symbols. Your comment suggests we should address those in a follow-up. I’m happy to open another PR after this one. I can also remove them here if that’s more appropriate.
