Thanks @HippoBaro, this looks impressive. I'm still looking, but haven't found any obvious problems yet. Gads, every time I delve this deep into parquet I go a little mad 😵💫. I think the RLE encoder could use a little refactoring/comment improvements to make the flow a little more obvious.
