## Summary `MutableArrayData::try_extend_nulls(0)` now returns without dispatching to union-specific null extension logic. This prevents empty sparse and dense unions from indexing a nonexistent first child when extending by zero elements. Fixes #11198 ## Testing - `cargo test -p arrow-data --lib` - `cargo fmt --all -- --check` - `git diff --check` All passed. ## Notes The regression test covers both sparse and dense empty unions and verifies that the zero-length operation remains a no-op.
