For completeness I've done a similar exploration as Alenka yesterday. See https://github.com/rok/arrow/pull/62. I ran type checkers on the test suite and the result (IIRC) was somewhere between 1k-3k issues depending on the type checker. Which is comparable to what pyarrow-stubs initially showed. I think it's valuable to explore autogen options now in case there is some upside. However given I've already cleaned the test suite to make all type checkers happy I'm currently in favour of completing current (pyarrow-stubs port) PRs over auto generating. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
