You are right, I had it backwards: messagingCrossLanguage runs on the Prism runner, so those failures are this starvation showing up in the suite, not unrelated flakiness. Applied your commit without the 5s delay, so the pre-publish workaround is gone, all records are published after the pipeline starts, and the assertion tightens back to an exact distinct count.
