Thanks for the response. That makes sense. I will go ahead and make the change to upload `gs://` remote package to staging location, as in some cases custom containers work better, in others having GCS paths as deps work better. You are right that it does not support `gs://` scheme. for `https://`, it does not work well with private objects on GCS so I would prefer the `gs://` support here.
