I wasn't thinking of microbenchmarks. But a SF 1000 run would definitely be interesting to see. I had spent time on native c2r a while ago - https://github.com/parthchandra/datafusion-comet/commit/81e411f336ae5757d9d525a8f21a81a27f4365c2 but after various different approaches did not see any performance improvements.
