Typically the `datafusion-python` package lags the upstream version by about a month. This is completely because of maintainer bandwidth. After each major version we have changes that we need to make downstream to support, as well as features that it enables that we want to take advantage of. We currently have a very small number of developers actively working on this, but we would always appreciate assistance.
