## Which issue does this PR close? Closes #6865. ## Rationale for this change Closing the shuffle reader's `SequenceInputStream` drains its enumeration. In the direct-read path that can request every remaining shuffle block even when the consumer stops after a partial read. ## What changes are included in this PR? The concatenating stream now stops its enumeration before closing the current stream, preventing close from fetching remaining blocks. A synthetic regression test checks that a partially consumed stream closes only the current block and neither fetches nor closes the next block. ## How are these changes tested? `git diff --cached --check` passed. The regression test was added but not run: a prior task-local Maven invocation has no recoverable final log/report, so its result remains unknown. I did not rerun it.
