I was introduced to Git a few months ago and I thought it could be a
nice thing to use for my university projects but the fact that I had
to pay for it, turned me off...

I understand why you guys need to make a living and there are bills to
pay but you actually offer free services for open source projects.
While I think I understand why this is free, it doesn't really help me
much.

The private projects I'm talking about are nothing commercial or
something like that, they are private because they need to be. It's a
university project, I can't allow everyone to see it and use it's
code. Maybe when the whole project is finished, the code could be made
available to everyone but until that, only people that's developing
the project with me, should be allowed to have access.

I think you understand that, it's in the nature of such projects and
there's nothing I can do about it.

Like I said, I understand there are bills to pay, but it wouldn't make
sense to pay for something I'm obligated to do. I don't do it because
I want to, I do it because I have to or I'll fail the class. I know
this my problem and not yours but I would love to use Git for my
private university projects.

Could such a plan exist in the future or it will never happen?
