contribute to each other while converting Gitorious to Rails 3.
    Any guidelines?

Rodgrido,
I really appreciate your doing this. I suppose doing this in a separate branch/repo makes sense, and then make sure to rebase to keep up with what's happening in master? We could communicate on the mailing list; it would be nice to know what are the main issues with the upgrade, also if you need any questions answered etc.?

Hi Marius, it was holiday yesterday in my city and I decided to upgrade my computer on Saturday. So I needed this weekend to transfer my files and configuration from my old notebook to the new desktop, which is much faster (rake spec now takes about 20s for a Rails project I have in contrast to about 1 minute in the notebook). So I deserved a day off yesterday for going surf with my wife and friends :)

Now that I'm ready for more fun development, I would like to first finish the chef recipe for installing Gitorious in Debian and publishing it on Github. That should not take more than a week working at nights. Then I'll start working on the Rails 3 port for Gitorious.

I'll do that in a separate branch for sure, but what I meant is that if we could set up an official branch (like Chistian Johansen made recently) we can get more people helping on the upgrading process. So, as I advance on the upgrade process, I'll send you merge requests for that branch.

Sometimes we may need to refactor some code as we advance and some of these refactoring could be applied to the master branch so that it would be easier for us for keep rebasing the code as master progresses. When it happens, I'll let you know.

For the mean time, I didn't take a look at the existent code base yet. Are there tests for testing all possible URL so that I can verify if the new routing settings are working? If not, could you tell me what are the expected allowed URL's?

Thanks,

Rodrigo.
