I'll do that in a separate branch for sure, but what I meant is
that if we could set up an official branch (like Chistian Johansen
made recently) we can get more people helping on the upgrading
process. So, as I advance on the upgrade process, I'll send you
    merge requests for that branch.

Sounds great! I'll be happy to work with you on this, and the idea with the official branch is to pull stuff as you advance.

Sometimes we may need to refactor some code as we advance and some
of these refactoring could be applied to the master branch so that
it would be easier for us for keep rebasing the code as master
progresses. When it happens, I'll let you know.

Again, I'll definitely be working with you to ease the migration.

Great!

For the mean time, I didn't take a look at the existent code base
yet. Are there tests for testing all possible URL so that I can
verify if the new routing settings are working? If not, could you
tell me what are the expected allowed URL's?

I _think_ they should all be covered by tests. Gitorious overall has pretty good test coverage. Marius might be able to give some more details about this, as I was not part of designing the current URL scheme.

Hi Christian, since Rails 3.1 beta was released yesterday, maybe we should start porting Gitorious directly to Rails 3.1. What do you think?
