My user *did* have the full OpenID identifier in my account settings, I edited 
to remove the ?id=xxxxx part in order to test whether that allowed me to login 
using it.  So now I only have the shorter URL in my settings.

Won't we also have to enter the full identifier into the login page?  Because 
my account did have an identifier, and still didn't work.
