Good idea. I hope one can do that for numerous things (like Pref-panes 
which I hope to see more of in the future) to avoid the XIB-conflicts.

I don't quite understand what you mean by "Integrating the 'Commit' 
view". Do you mean having a button there which switches the "Right" view 
to commit-view and keeps the Sidebar where it is?

Seeing the vertical layout of this thing reminds me of something I 
started a while back: Vertical split-view for the history. With monitors 
being much wider than high, I bet a lot of GitX-users waste space 
because their code is not that wide. So a general "switch layout to 
vertical" thing would be nice (certainly something I'd use).
