Yes, this is one of the reasons I started on the sidebar, because it's
a nice intuitive place to start adding functionality.

Oh, that's clever, but perhaps a bit too clever? What about the 'all
branches' thing? Multiple selections sounds like a good idea :)

Yeah, I'm not sure about that yet. Allowing it to be collapsed might
be the easy solution. The way the branches in the top are displayed is
a bit messy, I wouldn't mind dropping it completely :)

Yes, I think that's what Mail.app also has, though the "Mailboxes"
button isn't in the toolbar by default. Shouldn't be too difficult to
add that, or perhaps a little slide in/out button at the bottom.
