Odd, my reply got chopped up. But yea, basically GitX is great and the first thing that's been suitable for me to use for source control. Setting up servers etc... is a big hassle. But GitX UI is really let down by 2 things for me. 1 the lack of ability to create a repository without the command line, and 2 the 'stage button' is not always there, and has no natural affordances to help you out with it.
(if anyone on the team wants to address some UI issues, i'd be happy for offer my UI design assistance)
