Yes, they are already in the storeroom of EIGER. The completion of this
donation of 600 brand new CPUs (only 544 were able to be shipped) was
made possible by the efforts of many Quipunet's volunteers. From North
Carolina, to Washington State, to various parts of Peru, all working
toward the same end.

I have never seen as many messages as we have been receiving on our
list!

Euphoria is loose!

Different groups have been collecting money to complete all of the CPUs,
and up to date we have the money for close to 200 units. Remember that
250 will go to EIGER, another non-profit who was the official recipient
in Peru. That left us with 294 CPUs to complete.

Nickels and dimes when together make dollars. And that is the way we
have been collecting our money to complete as many CPUs as we can. Just
the other day, on election day for Peruvians, one of the groups had the
brilliant idea to sell food at the place where the national elections
were being held. To sell food you have to have tables, pretty soon one
of the "voters" brought his guitar from his car, and another did the
same, and with food, music, and dancing we had what we call in Peru a
"jarana". I am sure that no place in the world, had elections where
food, music, conversations and plain friendship was part of such a
solemn event. The unadvertised sale of donated food brought $161 USD,
enough to complete one CPU!

In this world of need, where is so easy to lose hope seeing the great
chasm between the poor and the rich, we lose sight of what makes us,
each of us, important....to be able to share, even if it is with one
dollar, to help a dream come true!

A note of explanation.- Just in case- we were separated from the
"polls" but in the same building
