Dear friends,

We would like to have a program for poor kids in Kerala, India by which
they can get free PCs for education. Schools would be willing to provide
necessary support. The requirement is hardware, which the schools cannot
afford by themselves and are unable to pass on the burden to children as
the children would also not be able to pay for it.

Can some organisation somewhere come forward to offer old PCs/CPUs free
of cost/subsidized rates. We will try to get an organisation to carry
out upgrades if necessary locally. Transportation cost will, of course,
have to be met by the beneficiaries or some other local NGOs. We can
identify such volunteers once we have a clear picture of the offer. The
requirement may range from 1000 to 2000. That is in the least. So please
put your best efforts. For the sake of poor kids and for the sake of
bridging the digital divide before it becomes too wide to be covered.

Ajay Kumar
