Schools Online is working in 21 countries. They just posted an introductory guide to Internet connectivity that I wrote, aimed at school principals who don't have much technical background but who might need to make a decision about getting an Internet connection. The current version is only in English, but there will be translations into other languages later. This guide would be appropriate for many organizations in developed and developing countries, not just schools. However, there are not prices associated with the technologies because of the variables in all of our countries: shipping, licenses, corruption, profit margin, competition, and degree of technical support. It is about half way down the page in Adobe PDF format 292kb. There are other guides as well. http://www.schoolsonline.org/resources/index.htm Steve Cisler 4415 Tilbury Drive San Jose, California 95130 408 379 9076 http://home.inreach.com/cisler "There are some places where the road keeps going." - Bud Parker ------------ ***GKD is an initiative of the Global Knowledge Partnership*** To post a message, send it to: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To subscribe or unsubscribe, send a message to: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>.
