It would be useful if we could attach a minimum version tag to a .glade
file.
The idea is that a file that uses a feature that was first available in
glade-0.6.42 could specify this in the .glade file, so that if someone
else tries to open the interface file with glade-0.6.41, they will get a
warning or error.
I think it would be a bit difficult to get glade to do this automatically,
so it would probably be best to add an entry field in the project options
to set this.
It would also be useful to specify a minimum libglade version as well, as
this is needed by some people (specifically the gnumeric people -- they
would like some way to enforce the use of newer versions of libglade, and
updating the library interface version number is not appropriate).
What do other people think of this idea?
James.
