I was a bit mistaken about what Michael was talking about. For gnumeric,
they want to have some way to match up interface file versions to program
versions (ie. so gnumeric 0.xy does not use the .glade file designed for
gnumeric 0.yx). This would also be a useful thing if we are adding
version requirements to the glade file format.
