Strange: that's the same files as I'm using (patch level 1), and the
same procedure as I'm following. I've even got happy installed
already. If you can, would it be possible to know how you set the
machine up (other tools installed - I've just been using GNU / Solaris
freeware tools). Maybe I've got problems from gcc versions or
something?

I don't get this far, but I do have happy, so this shouldn't be the
problem.
