Hi all. Since compiling ghc-2.0[678] on an HP with 0.29 seems to be
terminally broken (see ghc-bugs, _passim_), I'm trying to build 2.0_5_
by that route, as seems to have worked for Sven. Alas: not for me:
it gets as far as the final link for hsc, (spam deleted), and then says:
collect2: ld terminated with signal 11 , core dumped
/bin/ld: (Warning) Inter-quadrant branch in simplCore/OccurAnal.o
Anyone know: a) what the heck that means; and/or b) how to fix?
Alternatively, I'll settle for c): any (other) feasible way of obtaining
a working ghc-2.0[5-8] on our HP.
