Hi Folks,

I've been trying to build ghc-4.06 on a Windows NT platform, and
I am experiencing a number of problems.

First, during the build mkdependHS manages to acquire a hardwired
/cygnus/cygwin..../bin/sed path, which causes it to croak badly.
This I managed to get passed by giving it a copy of sed in the
place it wanted.

However, having managed to build hsc.exe, I now have a compiler
that simply crashes trying to access location "0x000...8". I
am building with ghc-4.045 from Sigbjorn's web page (which is
still the current version there, despite the ghc page hinting
it might be 4.06!)

Finally, I resorted to building from the HC sources, but alas this
also failed because hsc needs libHSlang and libHSlang needs hsc!
Perhaps the hc-sources are misconfigured due to the change in the
library organization?

One final note: with the ghc-4.06-solaris binary release,
install-docs fails due to the revised structure of the doc directory!

And I thought tracking down that space leak in my code was going
to be easy...
