#1867: GHC 6.6.1 doesn't run on Windows NT 4.0
------------------------------+---------------------------------------------
    Reporter:  Orphi          |        Owner:
        Type:  bug            |       Status:  new
    Priority:  normal         |    Milestone:
   Component:  Documentation  |      Version:  6.8.1
    Severity:  minor          |   Resolution:
    Keywords:                 |     Testcase:
Architecture:  x86            |           Os:  Windows
------------------------------+---------------------------------------------
Changes (by Orphi):

  * version:  6.6.1 => 6.8.1

Comment:

 I can now confirm that executables compiled with 6.8.1 (presumably
 including GHC and GHCi themselves) don't run on Windows NT 4.0. (I imagine
 this is an RTS issue.)

 Exact error message:

 {{{The procedure entry point OpenThread could not be located in the
 dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll.}}}

 To recap:

 GHC 6.6 '''does''' work on WinNT.[[BR]]
 GHC 6.6.1 '''does not''' work on WinNT.[[BR]]
 GHC 6.8.1 '''does not''' work on WinNT.

 I understand currently none of the developers are able to test on Windows
 NT. Well, it's a pretty ancient OS, so if you don't feel like supporting
 it, that's OK. All I am asking for at this point is a change in the
 documentation to reflect where GHC actually works.
