#3593: Where has readline gone?

In going from 6.8.x to 6.10.x, I find that Readline has dissappeared.
Apparently, it was replaced by Editline for a short time, and now by
Haskeline. But the standard installation doesn't seem to have either one
installed as a library I can use. Can we have one of them back, please?
