Same system, GHC 6.12.3:

hdaemonize without -threaded: works
direct-daemonize without -threaded: works
hdaemonize with -threaded: works
direct-daemonize with -threaded: hangs
}}}
Maybe I am doing something wrong with direct-daemonize?
